This week Ann Curry covered the continuous war that haunts the people in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. Curry was led into the dangerous Nuba Mountains by Ryan Boyette, a native of Florida. Boyette moved to the Sudan in 2003 when he went to work for Samaritan’s Purse.
As many of us are complaining about our economy and rising gas prices, thousands of sudanese are fighting to live, and it is a war that we are choosing to ignore. War is their reality. And war is Boyette’s reality, as he stays to be a voice for the people who are now his family.
