Complaining in My Life of Convenience

Weekly, I am complaining about the entire process of going to and from the grocery store.  By the time I have fought the crowds, over purchased on impulse buying, drive home, put the groceries away, the last thing I want to do is cook and clean the kitchen. Lately, that has been my attitude on all of my errands on my never-ending to-do list.  Then my friend Matt Rath, a videographer for Samaritan’s Purse, posted this image on his Facebook last week from Nepal with the caption…

Her. 85, came from 4 hours away to get winter supplies Samaritan’s Purse is giving out with tears in her eyes.

Eighty-five years old and traveling 4 hours in harsh conditions to get supplies. Reality check. I’ll remember this lady’s face  and tears the next time I climb in to my nice SUV drive 5 minutes down the road to get my “supplies.”

Gratitude.
