Fishing and Football

If one song could describe Corey’s ideal date it would be, “Fishin in the Dark,” by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I can hear it now…

“You and me going fishing in the dark
Lying on our backs and counting the stars
Where the cool grass grows
Down by the river in the full moon light
We’ll be falling in love in the middle of the night
Just moving slow
Staying the whole night through
Feels so good to be with you”

So, you can take a guess at who planned Friday’s date night.

It was a beautiful night on the water.

And this is how we roll on Friday nights. My tiny arms were shaking.

On Sunday night, Corey had a home game against the Atlanta Falcons.  My brother and his family were able to come see Corey play.  This was the first NFL game they have been able to watch Corey in, since my brother has been on multiple deployments these past few years.

My niece Hannah was so excited to wear her new cheerleader outfit. The cutest buccaneer cheerleader I have ever seen, but I know I am bias. I think she has watched one too many red-carpet events.
Pregame. Good thing this girl got a nap in.

They definitely picked a great game to come to.  We finally beat the Falcons and Corey played defense during the second half.  It was such an awesome weekend, to have my brother home safe, and for him to be able to come visit us in Tampa.

Go Bucs! Next game- Monday Night against the Colts!
