Sacrificial Service

Corey and I recently had the honor of working alongside Samaritan’s Purse U.S. Disaster Relief team and volunteers who were working in the devasting aftermath of early October’s flooding in South Carolina.

Like many Samaritan’s Purse projects, the volunteers are the ones who deeply move me. We met men and women of all ages from all over the United States, who sacrificed their personal time to come sleep in a church, eat bag lunches, sweat, get dirty and work hard. I am truly thankful for the example they set before me with their sacrificial and loving service to strangers in need.

Here is a short clip of our time in South Carolina.
