Someone is Turning 60!

Today, we celebrate a BIG birthday in our family. My dad turns sixty. Most of the time it’s the parents ranting on about how they can’t believe the rapid growth of their children and wondering where the years went. But this time it is the child wondering how her dad got to be sixty years old. I remember so vividly celebrating his fortieth birthday, and those twenty years seem to have flown by.

I don’t have a hard time reminding my dad how old he is getting, because unlike most men his age, my dad is still living young.

Just last week my dad once again rode his motorcycle from San Diego, California to Soldotna, Alaska. How many kids can say their dad does that?

I can honestly say, I have one of the coolest dads a girl could ask for. Guns, motorcycles, airplanes, and the Gospel are what define who my dad is to me.

I have been blessed beyond my imagination to have a dad who has shown me the world, and most importantly he has shown me the importance to never compromise the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that I am ever grateful.

Happy Birthday Dad! I love you.
