Fighting for Love

Ten couples arrived last week in Alaska at Samaritan Lodge to kick off the summer season for, Operation Heal Our Patriots. This summer Samaritan Lodge will host one hundred and sixty couples, each with a spouse who has been injured in combat or combat operations after 9/11.

There are numerous physical, mental, financial, emotional and spiritual challenges that military couples face each day, and many of them face these daily struggles alone. Instead of fighting on the battles fields, these men and women and now fighting for their marriages to be redeemed. For many of these couples it will be the first time they have spent quality time together, away from children, away from doctors appointments and medical bills, since their injury. We pray this week will be a time of physical renewal, spiritual refreshment, and Biblicaly-based marriage training.
