Welcome back to Fearless! After a longer than anticipated summer break, I’m excited to continue sharing with you how we can engage the culture with a Fearless faith. Today my guest is my father, Franklin Graham.

My family and I have been privileged for the last several years to serve alongside my father’s organization, Samaritan’s Purse, as they minister to military veterans and their spouses in Alaska through Operation Heal Our Patriots (OHOP). Through spiritual refreshment, physical renewal and marriage enrichment, we’ve seen miracles of the heart that only God could do with couples who are struggling in their marriages. I’m so incredibly thankful to be able to witness it and share some of it with you this week.

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association was even able to send police officer couples for two weeks as well, ministering to those who have been wounded serving on the frontlines of our communities’ every day.

But this week is heavy. Violence and chaos have engulfed Afghanistan, once again putting the country in the hands of the evil Taliban regime, which provided sanctuary to Osama bin Laden as he and al-Qaeda planned the 9/11 attacks that occurred 20 years ago next month.

There’s also the recent earthquake in Haiti and the coronavirus pandemic.

When 9/11 happened, my grandfather Billy Graham spoke to the nation at the National Cathedral. As part of his message, he said, “We’ve seen so much that brings tears to our eyes and makes us all feel a sense of anger. But God can be trusted, even when life seems at its darkest.”

Please join with me in lifting our nation and the world up in prayer during this dark time.
