It is getting cold down here in Florida, and I’m loving it! It just doesn’t feel like Christmas when it’s 80 degrees outside. Last year was my first Christmas in Tampa, and I was so upset when I had to buy my tree while wearing shorts and a tank. It felt impossible to get in the Christmas spirit. Ask my husband…I was a terrible sport! But that weather was just not normal for a girl from NC. It needs to be COLD for Christmas!
So, last week when I was in Charlotte, my brother and his family and my mom came with me to Christmas at the Billy Graham Library. And believe me, this is the way to jump start the Christmas season!
Now I know what you are thinking… I have to say this, because Graham just happens to be in my name and I work there. But seriously, it is so much fun. TRUST me!
They have carriage rides, a LIVE nativity, carolers, hot chocolate, apple cider, story time, and the whole place is decked out in beautiful lights. The kids love it and they get to see what the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ.
If you are in the Charlotte area you have to go. There is nothing better than being bundled up in a carriage and sipping hot chocolate to put you in the Christmas spirit! It’s awesome!
