This past week, my brothers and I experienced a first. Our grandfather, Ned Cunningham (my mom’s dad…aka “the other” grandfather), passed away and went to be with Jesus.
These last few months have been long, but he taught each one of us how to die graciously. I can hear him now telling his nurse, “thank you” up to his last weeks.
He taught his family how to love, how to build character, how to live a life of integrity, and how to live humbly. I am truly thankful for a granddaddy that played a big role in my life and loved me so much. As someone said earlier this week, he was the definition of a grandfather.
He was loved dearly and will be missed.
