It’s 2020 – an election year. Many people think Christians should not speak about politics. I disagree. It is our responsibility as Christians to address issues from a biblical perspective. I’ve traveled the world through my work with Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and seen countries where people don’t have the have the right to vote or have a voice on politics. We have the right and responsibility many others do not, so it’s up to us to learn—to gain knowledge that’s available at our fingertips—on the issues and candidates to make informed decisions about issues. Today I am talking about this and how I believe we not only should, but also need to, engage in political and religious conversation – remembering to have those conversations full of grace, truth and love.
