Can You Get Everything Done This Week?

The countdown is on! It is the week before Christmas, and of course I haven’t finished my Christmas shopping.  To be honest, I am a little over whelmed by the thought of everything I have to do this week. I have to finish shopping, wrap presents, pack for North Carolina, pack for Fort Myers, Christmas parties, baby shower, mom’s birthday, football game, and the list continues.  My head is spinning, but I started my day and week with reading from Rediscovering Christmas, and I am ready to tackle the week.

But with all that said, I want to be able to truly enjoy the week.  I know this is the season you are bombarded with opportunities to give back.  But even with the desire to give back, it is hard to find time between work, family, traveling, shopping, cooking, Christmas cards, wrapping, and parties!

Operation Christmas Child is making it easy for you this year with their Build-A-Box program.  It is not too late to pack your very own box, and you don’t even have to fight the demanding crowds at your local superstore!  You can pack your box without even leaving your home.

-Build a shoe box gift online and choose the items you want to send a child.

-Upload your photograph and send a personal letter from you to a child around the world.

-Our OCC volunteers will do the rest, now through Christmas.

And if you are having trouble figuring out a gift for someone, you can give the gift of giving with a shoe box. And that will be one item checked off your shopping list!

-Make a financial contribution online.  Operation Christmas Child will send an email to your loved one, giving them the privilege of packing a shoe box gift for            a needy child living in poverty, war torn, and/or needy circumstances.

-Your loved one will build a gift that is special to them, choosing specific items, upload their own photo and letter to send to the child.

-Operation Christmas Child volunteers will pack these gifts and send them on their way.

Each box is hand delivered to a child around the world along with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Operation Christmas Child is headed toward a record year of shoe box gifts collected.  We are projected to collect almost 9 million boxes this year.  That means 9 million children around the world will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  That is the incredible meaning of Christmas!
