This week I have been in Charlotte, NC for work. But the best part of traveling to North Carolina once a month is I get to see my family. Last night my brother’s children packed their shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. This week is National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child, and my niece and nephew were very eager to pack their boxes.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, and it is the largest children’s Christmas program of its kind. Each box is hand delivered to children around the world providing toys for Christmas, but most importantly, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each box is provided with a pamphlet with the Gospel in their own language. It is an exciting project that life changing for children around the world. If you have never been apart, it is simple and a great project for all ages and families. For more information check out Operation Christmas Child.
Simple it is…
1. Take an empty shoebox
2. Fill it with toys/toiletries
3. Drop it off at one of the drop-off locations
4. Pray for your box
My niece, Caroline, and nephew, Roy Austin, pack their shoeboxes.
